Overview
The sacred Gosainkunda Lake Located in Langtang National Park near the Tibetan border, it is considered one of the most sacred destinations for both Hindus and Buddhists. The sacred Gosaikunda Lake Trek is a stunning experience that blends natural beauty, cultural significance, and physical challenge. The lake, at an elevation of 4,380 meters (14,370 feet), is a sacred spot for both Hindus and Buddhists. The trek takes you through traditional Tamang and Sherpa villages, rhododendron forests, open high ridges, and breathtaking Buddhist cultural sites including chhortens, mani walls, and monasteries. It has enormous religious significance, particularly during the Janai Purnima (August full Moon) celebration.
