Everest Base Camp Trek
Overview
The Everest Base Camp trek on the south side, at an elevation of 5,364 m (17,598 ft), is one of the most popular trekking routes in the Himalayas. The base of the tallest mountain on Earth, is located at the head of the Khumbu valley, directly below the Khumbu Icefall .Surrounded by a plethora of barely inferior peaks Everest has never readily revealed its secrets. But you may witness the incredible majesty of the final peak for yourself if you hike beyond the last shelters at Gorak Shep and up to the Kala Patthar viewpoint. Trekking through stunning high-altitude landscapes, traditional Sherpa communities, esoteric Buddhist Monasteries, high-altitude flora and fauna, and snow-capped mountains will give you a natural thrill.
